Installing your Xtreme II LNBF

Polarity is critical to any linear LNBF.  If you have your polarity set right you will get the best performance from your LNBF.  Good polarity settings also help you find signal faster if you are aligning the dish.  Below is some pictures to help you understand the polarity of the Xtreme II LNBF.  Click any picture to get a larger view.
Removing the cap lets you see the probe and how it aligns with the polarity mark.  Of course removing the cap breaks the water seal so don't do this on your LNBF.
The "0" polarity mark is on the housing.  It's a lot easier to see on the LNBF than in these pictures.
If you don't know where to set your polarity, start by putting it up.  After you get signal go back and align the polarity for the best signal.  Don't forget to check both polarities.  It's always a good idea to check your dish alignment after making polarity adjustments.
This is a Xtreme II on one of our test dishes.  It's live on Intelsat 5 (Telstar 5) in Atlanta Georgia.

This is how it looks in Atlanta Georgia.
