Electronics Inc provides a restoring and repair service for most
all current receivers manufactured to date. There are clone killer programs currently from
some sources that affect not only clones (works like original but made by component
copiers) and even original name brand receivers. The list is long, so if you are
reading this due to a dead unit (no physical display on the screen) chances are that you
have acquired one of those dreaded memory kill programs. This commonly occurs right after
downloading or flashing receiver, and not necessarily a bin flash file. If the receiver has been working normally without interruption and has become dead with no firmware changes, then there is a good chance that there is some physical component that is damaged, and not a software issue. We group repairs into main categories: The first- Receivers that are dead due to a TsOP memory loss, or corrupted eprom information , and the second - Receivers that have some physical board trouble or hardware or component failure. We do not charge for estimates, but only for work performed. Tsop or Eprom Jtag Repairs Charges below: $40.00 existing header on your board $50.00 Remove board and insert soldered header $10.00 for shipping/handling for return trip with installation of original factory firmware back to your receiver Ask about Price reduction for 2 or more units Above repairs are for reinstating TSOP memory or similiar related issues We always insert headers on boards without them, with exception of some Pantec models (additional charges may apply due to hand wiring to mother board) Physical Hardware Issues Hardware or component problems are relative to parts availability and severity of damage. We try to be realistic with diagnostic prices. Some items are readily available and others are not. We evaluate your receiver on an individual basis and provide a price for repair, if not in category I - Call and we can provide a guess estimate.
